Dr Honor Young

Available for Health Psychology supervision

My name is Dr Honor Young. I am a Chartered Psychologist (CPsychol) with a Stage 2 Qualification in Health Psychology (British Psychological Society), and a Registered Practitioner Psychologist with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). I have over ten years experience working in academia both in the Republic of Ireland and Wales. My work combines research, teaching and clinical expertise, with a strong focus on the determinants of young people’s health and wellbeing, including interventions to improve health and wellbeing, especially in educational settings.

I am an experienced supervisor having successfully guided PhD and Professional Doctorate research students through to completion. I believe in a personalised, supportive and evidence-based approach to supervision, and am committed to ensuring a structured, reflective and collaborative space for guidance and mentoring. I am currently available to provide Stage 2 Health Psychology supervision, in full or in relation to specific aspects of your training. I offer a balance of academic guidance, applied health psychology practice, and mentorship grounded in real-world public health research.

If you are pursuing Stage 2 Health Psychology training and are looking for supervision that connects rigorous academic scholarship with impactful clinical and public health practice, I would be delighted to hear from you.
